Congratulations to MARTIN GERO on the success of his movie, Young People Fucking, which was selected by TIFF as one of the top ten Canadian movies in 2007!

 There will be a  public screening with an introduction,  Q&A,  and  a panel discussion on February 2 at Cinematheque Ontario, in Toronto.

Tickets  are on sale on the website at www.topten.ca, by phone at 416-968-FILM, and at the Box Office, Manulife Centre, 55 Bloor Street West (main floor, north entrance).

A selection of the films also screen in Vancouver, Ottawa and select Film Circuit communities. Canada's Top Ten features are chosen by two national panels of filmmakers, journalists, programmers, and industry professionals.

KURT SMEATON is back, from London, England, after performing non-stop in The Improvathon 2008, a 50 –hour improvised soap opera marathon, directed live by  Dana Andersen, at The People Show Studios, Pollard Row, Bethnal Green.

COREY AVERY ( Bofa 93)  is found…  Congratulations to Corey! C. R. Avery is Canada’s internationally-renowned slam poet! Corey performs across the country.  His latest CD is Magic Hour Sailor Songs.    www.cravery.com

Also “found”: DEVON TAYLOR  is living happily in Australia, working in theatre. She has also opened a wine bar and is working on a permaculture farm.  


Congratulations to CARI  LESLIE, who is the host of a  new TVO children’s show, A World of  Wonders!  She will be travelling around the world until summer, shooting the show. Her first gig is to the Grand Canyon! And then she travels to Argentina and Peru.


STEPHANIE MOORE is shooting a new series of G Spot in Halifax this spring.


RAOUL BHANEJA is playing big gigs in Toronto with  his  blues band, Raoul and the Big  Time. And he is taking Hamlet (solo)  to  Workshop West Edmonton as part of the CANOE FESTIVAL.
