  BRIAN FROMMER directs Hurlyburly which opens in Kingston, at Theatre 5, August 21 and runs 'til August 24.
The curtain is at 8 pm, and there is a Saturday matinee at 2 pm.
 
  BRIAN FROMMER and his wife, MARILYN CROTEAU are the new General Managers of Theatre Kingston .
 
 

RAOUL BHANEJA is in England to work at The Globe Theatre until September 10 as part of the International Fellowship.

  RAOUL BHANEJA is also in a new film, Devil's Throat.
It's an American movie directed by Mike Figgis (Leaving Las
Vegas, Timecode), and it stars Dennis Quaid, Sharon Stone, Stephen Dorf, Juliette Lewis and Laura Dern.
 
  RAD HAJDA is in a show at SummerWorks in Toronto.
Madder plays at the Factory Studio Cafe, August 2 - August 10.

  MATTHEW EDISON is holidaying in Europe, and also doing research for his new play for the Shaw Festival.
 
  WILL ALPERIN is off to visit France before returning to Concordia.
 
  JAMIE DEE FRANKLIN has recently acted in two shows in England (where she lives). She played in American Clock by Arthur Miller, and then "had a nice role" in a new adaptation of Moliere's Misanthrope.
 
  DAVID NUGENT, with his new degree from U of A, is driving! home to Ottawa for a week before he heads to Yale, at the end of August, for his new studies in Playwriting.
 
  Congratulations to MARTIN GERO !!
His movie, Perfect is now in development for CTV.
Martin writes on his web site ( www.martingero.com) :

"This one has been in the works for quite some time now. More than a year after our first meeting, NOT A CLUE PRODUCTIONS (owned by Glenn Cockburn, John L'Ecuyer and myself) has signed on to develop PERFECT as a four hour mini-series for CTV, Canada's largest national private broadcaster.

I will write the two two-hour movies, John is slated to direct and all three of us will produce. "

 
  DEREK CARKNER plays the lead in an independent movie, shot in April and directed by Adam Hastings.
Derek has also made some shorts, sci-fi spoofs, to be shown on the SPACE channel.

Did you watch Greenfingers? In his work for the Toronto International Film Festival, hobnobbing fairly frequently with the odd film celebrity, Derek went to dinner with Clive Owen this month.
