RAOUL is hosting the Maple Blues Awards,
Canada's national
blues event of the year, at the Phoenix Concert Theatre,
January 17.
He will also perform songs with the MBA ALL STAR BAND.
The show will feature performances from the great Mel Brown, Suzie
Vinnick and Jim Byrnes. There will be lots of presenters and great
music, as well as a jam at the end of the show. http://www.torontobluessociety.com
Raoul and The Big Time (1999 Maple Blues Award
Winners Best New Artist!) will be performing at the after party
at Club 279 and will be joined, one night only, by Edmonton's
Graham Guest on piano. 11pm, Jan 17.
Graham and Raoul are hoping to finish their duo record together
later this year .
RAOUL and The Big Time perform also as part of
the
BLUES SUMMIT SHOWCASE at the Silver Dollar
Room at 11pm on Saturday, January 15, on a special bill
which includes JW Jones, Roxanne Potvin and Anderson/Sloski .
Jan. 15, RAOUL and The Big Time are also performing
a special BREAKFAST with THE BLUES at THE
REX HOTEL at 194 Queen St. West, 12noon - 3pm.

be appearing January 15 as a guest on BLUZ FM with
Blues With A Feeling Award Nominee, Danny

Catching up with LEVON HENDERSON: LEVON
is co-directing a feature-length documentary, Fixing Capitalism,
about bridging the gap between profit and eco-effectiveness ( for
which he has already interviewed David Suzuki.) www.
fixingcapitalism.ca LEVON HENDERSON has made
a live-concert video for Jason Mitchell.
LEVON is also directing a short documentary for
WorkSafe B.C.,
AND is also working on commercials for Telus.
LEVON has been shortlisted for the National
Screen Institute Drama prize. If awarded, his project,
Picnic, would begin in June.
